Carl D. Aschenbrenner, Research Analyst, joined Stonebridge in 2009. Prior to Stonebridge, he served in various roles at Magis Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Aschenbrenner holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley graduating with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa. In 2009, he passed the Level III CFA exam.

Richard C. Barrett, CFA, CIC, President and Principal, joined Stonebridge in 1979. Mr. Barrett is a Portfolio Manager and Chairman of the Investment Policy Committee. Prior to Stonebridge, Mr. Barrett served as a Portfolio Manager at Lionel D. Edie. He began his investment career in 1967 as an Analyst for Kidder Peabody. Mr. Barrett holds a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor of Science in Business and Mathematics from the University of Connecticut, and the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor. Mr. Barrett is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles.

Debra N. Buttari, Trader and Assistant Vice President, joined Stonebridge in 2005. Prior to joining Stonebridge, Ms. Buttari served as a Trader at Associated Securities Corporation. Ms. Buttari holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of South Carolina.

Roland dela Peña, CFA, Research Analyst, joined Stonebridge in 2008. Prior to Stonebridge, Mr. dela Peña served as a Senior Associate at State Street Global Advisors. Mr. dela Peña holds a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The College of New Jersey. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles.

Matthew W. Markatos, CFA, CIC, Managing Director and Principal, joined Stonebridge in 2000. Mr. Markatos is a Portfolio Manager and Director of Research. Prior to Stonebridge, Mr. Markatos served as a Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Van Deventer & Hoch Investment Counsel. Mr. Markatos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a focus in Mathematics from Pomona College. He was also the recipient of the Lorne D. Cook award in Economics. Mr. Markatos holds the professional designations of Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Investment Counselor. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles.

Debra L. Newman, Managing Director and Principal, joined Stonebridge in 1973. Ms. Newman is the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to Stonebridge, Ms. Newman worked as an Accountant at North America Marketing. Ms. Newman attended California State University Northridge and University of California at Los Angeles.

Karen H. Parris, Managing Director and Principal, joined Stonebridge in 1986. Ms. Parris is the Director of Operations. Prior to joining Stonebridge, Ms. Parris served as the Manager of Financial Administration at George D. Bjurman and as a Portfolio Administrator at Scudder, Stevens & Clark. Ms. Parris attended California State University Northridge.
